Very good shot. Sharp lens, this new puppy! There is enough colour separation from the background to blur the background clutter some more if one so desires.

Yes, 21F + wind chill. This little guy obligingly posed for me after a half-hour at the edge of a lake produced nothing interesting from the geese, ducks and gulls swimming around in the patch of unfrozen lake surface.

The 400 f5.6 prime is probably as sharp, but without an extension tube (which takes away far-away focus) it could not take this shot, its minimum focus distance is too large.
