Life of Pi

Won't be to everyone's taste, quite a few will be bored. A worthwhile watch for me,

PS: the all religions are the same is an attitude Hindus are beginning to shed as they awaken. Like a Richard Parker, the others are quite inimical to Hindus in reality.  A future Yann Martel hopefully will not find this theme available again.

Richard Parker is a tiger.

Hindus tend not to understand this kind of thing below, they don't understand the Christian view of other religions, but that is changing.

"While Christian audiences will be thrilled with the amount of onscreen time devoted to the cause of Christ and what it means to believe, they will also be quite disappointed as Islam and Hinduism receive equal representation. However, when viewed through the eyes of evangelical Christianity, you can't help but be encouraged by the flickers of faith being projected onscreen."
So, "Unfortunately, this quest is played out for the other three religions as well." But it appears Martel suffers from the delusion
Well, Yann Martel conceived of this novel while spending months in the zoo at Thiruvananthapuram. Whether he suffers from the Hindu misunderstanding of other religions or not, he likely picked it up during his stay in India.
