I love gardening. When I was a kid, I thought I'd be a farmer. Re: talent - the trumpet vine is supposed to be dead easy to grow. Its flowers are supposed to attract hummingbirds and that's why I want it. The webpage on which I first read about the trumpet vine said - if you can't get flowers from this plant, you might as well give up gardening. :-)
Well, the vine is in its fourth (or is it fifth) year now, with no sign of a flower. Nice, healthy, lots of leaves, but never a flower.
So, anytime my head gets the least bit swollen, except from insect bites, I gaze on the trumpet vine.
Oh, the queen of flowers is the rose.
But I like lots of other kinds as well.
Don't hold your breath - regarding the trumpet vine. Daisies - no, I haven't tried growing any yet.
