I loathe anyone who supports Trump in 2020; if there is any such in my acquaintance, I disassociate from them immediately, permanently and irrevocably. In 2016, one might have hoped for something from Trump, but now, in 2020, there can be not a tiniest bit of doubt any more about what Trump is, and there can be no doubt about what people who still support Trump are.
Added later - there is a point where things go beyond being merely political differences that correctly should not have any impact on personal relationships and instead enter into our fundamental conceptions of ourself as ethical human beings. As I've written in a comment below, I cannot reconcile support for Trump and being a person with basic decency.

This reminds me of the "either you are with us or against us" remark by the war criminal George W. Bush.
My first awareness of anything political was when I was in the 7th Std. Driving it was the All India Radio ban on Kishore Kumar during the Emergency. From that point on, I came to despise Indira Gandhi and that loathing remains alive to this day. I think she did incalculable harm to India. My father, on the other hand, was an avowed admirer of Mrs Gandhi and remained one to his dying day. The highest compliment he could pay a woman was, "She's Indira Gandhi!" We had our occasional political arguments over this but it never ever spilled into any other sphere of our lives.
I voted for Obama twice and then for Trump. At this stage in my life, agewise and otherwise, I don't have to explain or justify my political choices to anyone. I do not predicate my associations or friendships on political preferences and never will. Politics plays no role in determining my personal relationships, and a relatively minor role in my existence.
An observation of the Trump era is how it has distorted people's minds, minds I thought were fortified against the currents of the day. I have my own theory about this.
At any rate, I do not wish to further incite your loathing and in accord with your wishes I shall stop coming to your blog.
Best,

To my mind, to support Trump at this point in time is to put aside common decency; and many events of 2020 have reminded me that life is too precious and short to waste on anyone that lacks common decency. At this point in time, Trump is revealed completely, and I don't see any way to support him and remain a decent person.
It is a different thing to support a Republican agenda -- not that the Republicans under Trump have a platform this year -- and it was a different thing to have supported Trump in 2016-2017, when he was somewhat an unknown quantity. Just to his personal qualities, Trump cannot admit to even one of his lies, even when it is on videotape and witnessed by hundreds; nor can he ever apologize for anything. As he himself said, he doesn't take responsibility. He is sexual assaulter of women. He is dishonest in his business dealings. Even his own lawyers don't trust him. This is without going into all that he has done as President.

I'm saying, such people are no longer a part of my personal life.
