Creationist fun

If you need a quick laugh, this creationist quote should provide it.

Also interesting: there are indeed still people who believe the world is flat. Here is the reason:

Using the "round Earth" theory, setting an object on the earth would be like setting grains of sand on a beach ball. Certainly a few grains would stay - right around the top, the surface is nearly horizontal - but when you stray too far from the absolute top of the ball, the grains of sand start sliding off and falling onto the ground. The Earth, if round, should behave in exactly the same fashion.

Convinced? Join the Flat Earth Society!

I wonder though what it might be that makes the grain of sand start sliding off and falling to the ground...

Ah, just noticed that part of their site is down. too bad, it wasn't yesterday. try again one of the next days, the section "Deprogramming the masses since 1547 - Conspiracies and Coverups" is very amusing. One is tempted to ask them to just keep going west and see if they fall off the earth. Best,

B.

LOL! their site wasn't down, their internet packets were falling off the edge of the earth!

I wonder if there is some way to get the flat earthers to debate the creationists :)
