One could possibly check him for fleas from 100 feet away :)
Was capture sharpening done on the RAW file? Judging from your 100% crop, I suspect not. If you make the RAW file available I can run it through the Topaz Infocus plugin which uses a deconvolution algorithm.

Hi Rajan,
Sure, I'll do that. But I was quite happy to be able to resolve whiskers at 24 meters without any processing of any kind, except whatever default Lightroom uses.
I am pretty sure that is more detail in there that gets blurred by the AA filter which deconvolution can recover.
