From Bee's Gallery: Nothing Else Matters
It resonates strongly with me. The tone of this week.
PS: you may have to go backwards and forwards in the slideshow on that page to see the drawing.

These paintings of ladies (and whatnot) are lovely, but your photographs of flowers (especially roses) are even lovelier!
And I must say, either you've got a knack for growing roses, or your climate is just plain good for growing them!
Since roses on a bush (and ones on a vine) grow quite nicely in my neck of the woods (the bowels of America, that is), I haven't tried growing them on a stick -- long stem roses, that is. :~)

Cynthia,
Thank you! clearly you like flowers more than paintings :)
Anyway, the tricks are in "Roses for Dummies". A love of soil and a tolerance for being scratched is all the extra that is needed.

Dear Arun,
How nice, thanks for the link. It's interesting, many people like this drawing, I've gotten requests repeatedly from people who wanted to buy it. The sad truth is however that little more of the drawing still exists except the photo. I unfortunately didn't think very much about the paper/color and appropriate storage at this time. I've thought a couple of times I should do it again in acrylics maybe.
Either way, I dropped in to leave this link, it's a nice shot, I thought you'd like it
