b. The limitations of the 400mm in this situation showed up. The 100-400mm zoom would have done better. The 70-200mm would generally be too short. E.g., there was a situation where I could have captured almost the whole pride in one shot, that too backlit by the sun. But the 400mm was too long; and these guys move around too fast to change lenses.
