Partly collected thoughts.
This floor painting is much too pretty to just suck it up with, say, a vacuum, or sweep it up with, say, a broom, or even let the wind blow it away!
Hi Cynthia, think of it as a planar Christmas tree!
Arun, I just adore your sense of humor!:~)Not to make light of your celebration, but you could decorate the tree with ornaments of all faiths, topping it with an ornament symbolizing the Theory of Everything--Everything Faithful, that is.(And please don't think I'm engaging in religion bashing. While PZ gets a bit rough with his bashing, I try to remain playful with mine...)
Not to make light of your celebrationYou have it slightly backwards - Diwali is a celebration of light.:)(Diwali is shortened Deepavali, which means :line of lamps:"; deep, the lamp, is of the type shown in the first photograph.)
Oh, and if Christianity is the archetype of religion, then we have no religion.
